Lora Bay
Located on the shores of Georgian Bay, the Lora Bay community rests at the intersection of an all-season playground where residents and visitors can enjoy nearly limitless outdoor activities. Sitting on a ravine lot with access to the Georgian Trail system steps outside the door, this bungalow home creates the perfect opportunity for this retired couple of avid skiers and golfers to live their best lives year-round.
Every feature of the home was built to provide refuge during their early retirement years, including the luxurious master bedroom with ensuite. To offer a sense of scale and openness on the main level, the great room and dining room features 14-ft vaulted ceilings and a gas-burning fireplace with floor-to-ceiling stone. The rear of the home exits onto an expansive deck constructed out of Douglas Fir with water views of Georgian Bay, perfect for early-morning coffee or a place to unwind in the evening. Not content to sit idle during inclement weather days, the home also boasts a full-featured gym. As part of the amenities of their traditional Craftsman-style home, the homeowners built an oversized double car Concrete FX epoxy floor garage with plenty of storage for activity equipment.
A custom staircase by Georgian Stair is encased by custom glass and stonework from the lower level to the main level which makes for a stunning entrance. The large mainfloor laundry and pantry offers the convenience one would expect in a house of this quality. The chef's kitchen is complete with Wolf and Subzero appliances from MacDonald's. All plumbing fixtures throughout the property were sourced by Bathworks. The cabinetry throughout the house was custom-made by Southgate Cabinets, a well-known local supplier to custom builders in the Georgian Triangle area.
Not content to limit their luxurious surroundings to the interior of the house, the property is complete with beautiful landscaping by Northern Pine Landscaping, complete with an in-ground sprinkler system to enhance the low-maintenance nature of the residence.
